Days 18/19 - 14/15 July 2020 - Forests of Fermanagh

Yesterday (day 18) I'm calling a weather day! The forecast was miserable as it was given to (and did) rain all day and night. So I decided not to walk yesterday and instead stay warm and dry.

Ethan and my parents had stayed overnight which had influenced my decision somewhat 🙄😅. So we stayed in and played some games and chatted for a bit before they left mid afternoon.

Today (day 19) however I was back at it and hit the trails through the forests of Fermanagh that lie between Belleek and Belcoo. There's not much I can say about today really.
There was a lot of forestry and paths! I only met two people the whole day, with the second being a forest worker whoses landrover had broken down. I stopped a while to try to help him out but I wasn't much use so headed on.

Just outside Belcoo I passed St.Patricks Holy Well which people go into in their bare feet from the last Sunday in July and all of August. I however decided to stay dry on this occasion 😅

The weather was overcast with drizzle most of the day along with some heavy showers at times.
At the minute though I'm dry and tucked up in my tent in Belcoo after getting a salad, a cup of tea and a packet of crisps from the local shop for my dinner.

Stats for today are. 34km walked and 794m ascended
