Day 20 - 16/07/20 - Belcoo too Derrylin
I had a dry night under a big tree in the park in Belcoo before rising around 0815 for a Huel and banana breakfast and to prep for the day.
I left Belcoo which is in the north of Ireland and roughly 3min and 200m later I was in the town of Blacklion in the south 😁. #nopassportneeded
This was the cue for today as I weaved between North and South on my merry way.
Climbing into the hills I passed through Marble Arch territory and Florence Court.
Florence Court was my first river crossing and I had a wee slip on the rocks but stayed upright thank goodness.
My second river crossing came early afternoon and was a much bigger affair. It was signposted an actual 'Ford' and was on a back road I was travelling on so no way round without a major detour.
I decided to sit for 15min or so to see if any vehicles came so I could get a lift over but to no avail. Infact I don't think I seen a vehicle on that road for the whole time I was on it.
I was debating taking the boots off or keeping them on but decided to keep them on as it didn't look overly deep.

After the second crossing I made my way up and over the final hill before Derrylin and made friends with a border collie who followed me for about a kilometre and a half before heading home.
Then after a wee lie down in the sun at the top of the hill I arrived in Derrylin and ate me dinner in Blake's bar which is were I am writing this blog from.
As yet I've no clue where I'm sleeping tonight but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough 😁.
Totals for today are 37km and an ascent of 815m.
